Operational Buyer

(Part time - 80% FTE)

You know money doesn’t grow on trees… do you want to know where it really comes from?

Landqart is the only Swiss manufacturer of paper for banknotes and passports. We work with Central Banks, government organisations, and commercial security printers around the world to help them create secure, durable, and beautiful documents. The products we make are highly specialised and demand continuous innovation, which requires us to work with a very broad range of domestic and international business partners and suppliers.

We are looking to fill the role of Operational Buyer (Part time - 80% FTE)

An efficient, modern, IT-based purchasing function is an essential and strategic backbone within any organisation. Our procurement approach is driven by three key pillars: supply security, quality, and price – in this order. The Operational Purchasing team’s mission is to secure products of the necessary quality, at the optimal cost, at the right time. Achieving this requires continuous optimisation of processes and systems, communication with global suppliers, and working in partnership with internal stakeholders.

Are you ready for a fresh challenge in your career, and an opportunity to broaden your horizons? Do you enjoy fast-paced environments where there is a drive for continuous improvement, and a desire to challenge established systems and processes? If so, we are looking to grow our team of full and part-time purchasing specialists to ensure OTIF supplies from around the world, and want to hear from you.

We’d like you to have some experience in operational purchasing: this could be the next step in your career, or a way of re-entering the sector. Either way, we’d like you to demonstrate an interest in purchasing. You’ll need to be fluent in English and German; proficiency in other languages would be an advantage. More than anything, we need you to "wow" us with your innate curiosity, passion for excellence, and drive to create new ways of working.

  • Basic experience in at least one of the following business areas (operational purchasing, customer service, logistics or equivalent)
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in an operational function.
  • We are happy for this to be the next step in your career, or a return to the workplace.
  • Ability to work in a team as well as enjoying to work independently and in a structured manner
  • Being open to new methods and processes to support further transformation of the purchasing function
