Paper Technologist

In Switzerland's only security paper mill, you will be responsible for the production of banknotes and passport paper. You will monitor the production processes and use the process control system to control the paper machine and the systems required to prepare the auxiliary materials. Your tasks will also include minor maintenance work.

Whether quality control on the machine itself or in the specially equipped drying laboratory, where the paper is tested down to the smallest detail, you will learn all this with us, as this is also an important part of your training.

Throughout your apprenticeship, you will pass through various units where you will be allowed to get your hands dirty. From cotton preparation, where the raw materials for paper production are prepared, to stock preparation and the paper machine, through to our various modern finishing systems.

Our requirements

• Good secondary school leaving certificate with good performance in science and mathematics subjects
• Technical understanding, good observation skills
• Logical thinking and precise working methods
• Sense of responsibility, reliability and independence
• Willingness to work irregular hours (2 shifts)
• No criminal record
